Mrs. Roberts has been teaching at Our Lady of Lourdes for the past 20 years, she is a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes, Louisville High School, and Cal State University, Northridge. She is the 8th grade homeroom teacher, and she teaches Middle School Religion and Social Studies. She also has the responsibilities of being Religion Co-coordinator and the faculty representative for the PTO Board. She is very proud to say that she and her parents were among the founding members of the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.
It is an honor and privilege to teach at Our Lady of Lourdes! I love my job and I am proud to be able to teach and give thanks back to the community that opened its doors to my family when we emigrated from Germany. It is a place, as a family, we have always felt at home. I was married here, my two girls also went to school here, receiving their sacraments and celebrating their weddings here as well. My husband and I continue to be actively involved in parish life, and look forward to celebrating the parish's 60th birthday this year. The school and parish have always been the place for celebrations, as we move into the 2018-2019 school year, let me quote Mr. Brough,
“This year is dedicated to developing a deeper sense of gratitude in all we do. It is fitting that our mission theme is “Give Thanks” in this anniversary year. Our parish and school are each celebrating their diamond jubilees – 60 years of serving and celebrating the families of Northridge and beyond.”
My girls and I began our faith journey here, I am so grateful for that foundation. I look forward to giving thanks and celebrating with all of you in the coming year.
